I must hand it to the writer, Rahat Jabeen for keeping the suspense alive in the story and giving it unexpected twists. Here is what I thought would happen today; Tahir would say no and Aimen will realize she was wrong but guess what Tahir turned out to be more than just a cunning person, he was a thief (literally) and like the nana said a very selfish person. Today when Waqar asked Babar to talk to him in private, I was quite certain he would ask him to marry Aimen but I am glad what happened was completely different from what I anticipated. Waqar asked his friend to marry Aimen in order to save himself from further Beizzati. I must add that I really don't appreciate the fact that parents in these dramas are so focused on saving their izzat that they would marry their daughter off to anyone. Okay, before you judge me let me explain. I am not saying that Aimen deserves any better but why do we keep on reinforcing the belief that it is okay to marry your daughter to someone twice her age just to keep people from talking. Tariq is a wonderful human being and Aimen is lucky that she got married to him but Waqar should have known that his daughter was not going to put any amount of effort in this marriage and it is not going to solve any problems but will just give rise to more problems. Aimen is still very young, she has a whole life ahead of her, there are chances she could have changed, and marrying her off in my opinion was not a solution to the problem. No doubt, it would have been extremely difficult for Waqar to face people but what if this marriage does not work out? How will he face people then? If Waqar was very old or extremely poor I could have understood his majburi but a man like him could definitely have taken a better decision. Marriage is not the sole solution to all the problems relating to daughters and I wish our dramas would not promote this "culture".
When Aimen went along with the wedding, I was thinking that she will change for good but unfortunately she is still waiting for her prince charming and thinks that her father made up a story so she would forget about Tahir. I feel for Tariq though, the poor guy thought he hit a jackpot and Aimen was the khushi he waited for all his life but the fact is he just made his life hell!
The voice quality was not very impressive today and I could not make out what Waqar said to Tariq, did he ask him to "gift" Aimen his house? Someone please enlighten me. If he did, I think that was yet another selfish thing that Waqar did. Tariq is going to leave soon and I cannot help but wonder who will enter Aimen's life next. There was once a time when I really liked the fact that Aimen was not looking for a prince charming and was a simple girl. Things sure have changed now. Ayza Khan was dressed simple but she looked really pretty as the bride, I can't blame Tahir for going gaga over her! I just wish Aimen would get her act straight.
Overall, this made for an entertaining episode with some interesting twists. Some of the scenes though were stretched without end. The performances were brillaint as usual. Honestly speaking, this has to be the most unpredictable play, I have no clue what is in store next but I am really hoping that Tahir is gone for good.
