Everything about this latest episode was extremely well-done; Sanya's reaction, the way Zeenia and Serena feel about their "new" relatives, the comic scenes, Aani trying to be the voice of reason and the suspense in the story. Sanya obviously feels betrayed; she thinks Zara left her alone once again just like she did once before years back. Aani and Sanya's scenes were very touching and I have to hand it to Badar Khalil in particular for putting her heart and soul into these two scenes and making them come alive on screen.
Asif Raza Mir was brilliant as usual, it is always a pleasure watching him perform. Zain’s conversation with uncle Faran in particular said a great deal about why he was so apprehensive about sharing the details about Zara's death with anyone just yet. I honestly cannot wait to find out what exactly is it about Zara's death that will make the "bechainayan" grow even more? What happened in Faran's past that made Zain remark that life had been unfair to him?
Bibi's reaction to the sad news was another scene that made it impossible for me to detach myself from what this family was going through. I must add here that apart from the emotional and the comic scenes, all the other scenes were very relatable as well. When you have relatives visiting from abroad this is exactly how it is, the guests are confused about the new country and the new environment (especially if they don't visit very often) and one must go out of their way to make them feel at home.
The breakfast scene where Zain and his daughters were having a conversation just added to my curiosity. The way Zeenia questions her father suggested that she blames him for her mother's death or at least thinks he could have done something to prevent it or he could have foreseen it. At this point all one can do is guess!
I absolutely love the soundtrack; it is nice and soft just like the overall feel of this play. Syra Yusef is too cute for words and both these young actresses were the perfect choice for playing Zeenia and Serena. I am definitely looking forward to finding the answers to all the questions brewing in my mind and more than that I am eagerly looking forward to watching Qabacha on screen all over again. Behroze Sabzwari looks exactly the same, it seems like he has not aged at all in all these years. I thoroughly enjoyed this latest episode, it made me cry and it made me laugh…I really could not ask for more.
