TAPI pipeline: Indian and Pakistani firms sign gas purchase contract

State-owned energy companies from Pakistan and India have signed a 'Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement' with Turkmenistan's national oil company Turkmengaz that will lead to the supply of up to 90 million cubic metres (mcmd) of natural gas a day via the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline.
