For our non muslim and readers who are unfamiliar with the festival, Eid, more precisely known as Eid Ul Fitr is the holiday marking the end of Ramadan (the holy month of fast for Muslims). On the day of Eid, Muslims wake up before sunrise, take a wash, wear new cloth, apply perfumes and have a light breakfast.
According to Islamic teachings, fasting on Eid day is bad. Therefore Muslims always have a light breakfast on the day and then only go out for the special Eid prayer.
