Pakistan set Sri Lanka 261 runs to win

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka were set a target of 261 in 37 overs to win the second Test after Pakistan declared their second innings at 100-2 just after tea on the fifth and final day on Wednesday.

Earlier, Sri Lanka, replying to Pakistan's first innings total of 551-6 declared, were 278-5 at stumps on the fourth day of the rain-hit second Test in Colombo on Tuesday.

Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 121 and Sangakkara was unbeaten on 144, with Sri Lanka still 74 runs away from saving the follow-on at the Sinhalese Sports Club.

With two innings yet to be completed, the Test appears headed for a draw after bad weather on the previous two days restricted play to only 71 of the stipulated 180 overs.
