For me, today's episode was definitely more touching and moving than the last one. Zakiya's reliance and trust on Ahmed Ali's family and total disregard of what her sister and brother-in-Law had to say showed that she is a wise woman who can see through people. While I was very happy to see Zakiya doing a great job of distinguishing between those around her where family was concerned, unfortunately she could not apply the same instinct/wisdom when it came to the people at work. Running a business is obviously something very new for her and she has so much to deal with all of a sudden. We saw a very Confused and grief stricken Zakiya being exploited at the hands of Harris and his father and signed the cheque they asked her to without much questioning. Later on, leaving Harris with Urooj was another decision she took because she was completely oblivious of what ever went on between her dead husband and Harris. I must appreciate the fact that things move with a very fast pace in this play yet you never feel rushed. Zakiya found out soon enough that Harris and his father could not be trusted. I am glad we did not have to wait for few more episodes for this development to take place. I am so sure if it were any other drama Zakiya would have been fooled and cheated for three more episodes before she found out the truth and she would have confided in her sister too.
Urooj's wondering eyes and poignant expressions literally broke my heart, Shehryaar Munawar's brilliant was so convincing, I could totally relate to what Urooj must be going through.
I loved it how Amina turned out to be the pillar of strength for both Zakiya and Urooj. It almost felt like she was meant to be a part of this family. Today's episode showed us another side of Amina's personality, she is not just a happy-go-lucky girl but also very mature and intelligent. On the other side the scene between Arfa and Junaid, although short, was spot-on. I have said this before but I can't help but say it again that the chemistry between these two is remarkable and Alishba Yusuf has never looked this good.
Kamran proved today that he will leave no stone unturned to take over the business. Razia is not as evil as Kamran but she will do anything to please her husband and gladly follows Kamran's lead.
Even with all the serious developments today, the drama did not lose its comic aspect and like always Amina and her jokes were a breath of fresh air. The only quibble i had with today's episode was that the picture quality was not that great, I could barely see the faces.
Overall, like always, today's episode was very engrossing and had me glued to the TV screen. I must appreciate the entire team of this play for a job well done and have great expectations from this play.
