The temperature dropped to 33 degrees Celsius after rain hit the city on Friday as citizens.
Heavy showers are forecast for Saturday (today) and might continue into Sunday night.
Maximum temperature which had soared to 47 degrees Celsius in June had already come down when rains started on July 7. The met office recorded 5 millimeters of rain at its Jail Road observatory and 9 millimeters of rain at the Airport.
A number of families visited the Race Course Park, the Lawrence Garden, Iqbal Park and Gulshan-i-Iqbal. The Lahore Zoo had a large number of visitors. Food outlets at the Fort Road Food Street, Gowalmani and Anarkali had more than usual visitors.
Khursheed Mehmood, a resident of Nishter Town, was visiting Race Course Park with five friends after the rains subsided, said the rain was a great relief.
Kanwal Abbas, owner of Dream Lounge, a café on MM Alam Road, said it was packed with customers on Saturday. He said that families and groups of girls made up most of them. He said that pleasant weather always improves business.
Muhammad Usman, a shawarma seller in Liberty Market, said that his sales had doubled since a large number of families and young boys visited the market.
Sahibzada Khan, a Met Office director, said a heavy shower was expected on Saturday. He said that the rain spell will continue till Sunday night. He said that heavy showers and high speed winds were expected in the Sialkot region.
