Good commercials are very difficult to make, they require great creativity. While, it is relatively easier to convey your message in a forty minutes play, it is much more difficult to do so in a commercial that maybe of a few seconds or minutes. The primary objective of any commercial should be to convince the consumers that the product they are selling is worth buying. Apart from that commercials should be interesting so that people have a reason to sit through them since that could add to the consumer being persuaded to buy a product. Some commercials make you switch channels and there are others that make you sit down and take notice. While, most commercials make me yawn but there are some that I truly like to watch and I really appreciate the hard work that goes into making them. Here is a list of some commercials (recent) which I enjoy watching and they either make me go awww or put a smile on my face. Like I said before, the biggest achievement of any commercial is to keep the viewer from switching channels so I am going to mention here those ads that I would much rather not skip.
1. Cadbury Dairy Milk Commercial (2012):
I must say that all Cadbury ads are very moving and definitely a delight to watch. A chocolate usually does reflect sentiments, there are times when we are down and in dire need of a chocolate, and celebrations in particular are incomplete without something sweet.
The one Cadbury ad that is an all time favorite for me is the one with Hina Dilpazir and Shamim Hilali among others in it. It encompasses so many different aspects of life/relationships and is a pleasure to watch every time. It is definitely a well- thought-out commercial with a good flow.
2. Olper's Commercial (2009):
Olper has to be another product that has a lot of nice ads to its credit. My personal favorite is the one with Shoaib Hashmi, Saleema Hashmi and Vaneeza Ahmed among others in it. It is another well-thought-out commercial which covers multiple olpers products and it is truly delightful to see this charming couple together in a commercial.
3. Ufone Saaf Awaz (2010):
This would be the one with Mikaal and the beautiful model with a very ugly voice! The message is very well conveyed, voice quality does matter a great deal and it definitely makes me chuckle every time I see it.
4. National Foods Eid (2010):
What I like about this commercial in particular is the feeling it leaves me with and the background music definitely strikes a chord. Just incase you are wondering which advertisement it is, it's the one with Shamim Hilali, Sabreen Hisbani and Sami khan in it…does it ring a bell?
5. Tapal Danedaar:
Another beautifully directed commercial with Nadeem Baig and Samina Ahmed, who with their spot-on chemistry make this advertisement a treat to watch. This is definitely one ad that I would sit through and not change channels.
