Yes this play is all emotions and the viewers did get to witness another tragedy in today's episode and the preview of the next episode suggests that there are more tragedies in store. But the fact is that apart from the tragedies, MDKJZM has more than it's fair share of moments that melt your heart. For instance in today's episode the scene where Zakiya shares with Aminah how guilty she feels some times for getting Aminah married to Urooj. The whole conversation was very touching and a part of me wanted to reassure Zakiya that she had never been selfish and indeed Aminah could not have had a better life partner than Urooj. Zakiya maybe a very strong woman to the world but the fact is that she is trying very hard to stay that way for her son, in her heart she still finds it hard to cope without her husband but she couldn't have made it so far without Aminah. Bushra Ansari has proved yet again that she is a very gifted and versatile actress, hats off to her.I also loved the way Ahmed Ali explained to Aminah how Allah has the final say and only He decides where we truly belong. I may have said this before but I must say this again that every girl should have a father like Ahmed Ali. I do wish though that there were a few more scenes of him and Arifa as well because he could do a much better job than the unimpressive psychiatrist that Arifa is seeing.
The scene where Aminah and Urooj are leaving for Thailand and say their goodbyes was too cute; the way Aminah and Urooj both come back for one more hug definitely was very sweet. The accident later on and Urooj's paralysis was something that we all saw coming so that development lost it's shock value due to the preview that we saw after the last episode. Sarwat Gillani is doing a tremendous job, although I do miss the chirpy and bubbly Aminah a lot but she is just as convincing as the girl who has learned a great deal about life in only a few years. Now, there is an even bigger responsibility on Aminah's shoulders and I am glad that we will be years ahead in the next episode.
Junaid continues being the pillar of support for Arifa and even with a baby on the way Arifa does not seem to be coming back to life. Having a baby and the post partum stress is difficult to cope with even for the strongest of women, Arifa was right when she told her mother that she was not ready for taking up such a responsibility. Oh, how I wanted Ahmed Ali to explain the good and bad to Arifa, totally missed that! Alishba Yusef deserves due credit for a job well done, she is a very fine actress indeed.
I am looking forward to the next episode of MDKJZM mainly because I am waiting for Mr.Salaar to make his entry into Aminah and Urooj's world but I can't help but wonder if he is the same guy who raped Arifa how come no one ever saw him since everyone who is anyone had heard the news on the media, didn't the media show the picture of the culprit? Or maybe it is just that Aminah and family do not tune into news channels , just like me!
