It has been thirteen years since Adnan Sami Khan has been residing in India, a great deal has happened in Adnan Sami's life since he settled in India, we thought it would be interesting to catch up on what Adnan Sami has been up to over there and what is happening in his life and career lately.
It is no surprise that Adnan Sami Khan is well settled in India because he does have blood ties with the land, his mother was an Indian Muslim and Adnan used to visit India during his Vacations and took music lessons from Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. Adnan Sami Khan was introduced to the people of India through his album "Kabhi Tu Nazar Milao" , in which he teamed up with Asha Bhosle and the two ended up singing some unforgettable songs. After this sensational hit offers came pouring in and since then he has given music for movies made by some very renowned filmmakers like Boney Kapoor, Yash Chopra and Subhash Ghai. Adnan Sami Khan is highly respected In India and the public loves his live performances.
On a personal level too Adnan Sami Khan gained a huge plus while he stayed in India, he lost more than 107kgs which was nothing short of a miracle and obviously a life changing experience for Adnan Sami Khan. Adnan Sami got married for the second time to Sabah Galadari in 2001; the marriage was unsuccessful and led to an "ugly" divorce where the two of them fought in the court on many issues. Sami's wife Sabah filed a cruelty case against Adnan Sami in 2009 and he was bailed only after he showed a video to the judge claming that his wife was having an extra marital affair.
Adnan Sami Khan got married again for the third time in 2010 to an Afghani-German Roya Fariyabi. The couple also visited Lahore in 2010 and Faryabi said that she was truly happy being Adnan's wife. The couple went to Paris for a late honeymoon in August 2012 because before that Adnan was too busy fighting legal cases regarding his previous divorce. Adnan and Fariyabi are happily married and contemplating parenthood.
“We have waited long for parenthood. We wanted our child to be born after we freed the world around our lives from the stress that Roya and I have been facing incessantly. I think the clouds have now lifted and Roya and I are ready for a baby. We’re here in Paris for a belated honeymoon,” Adnan said from Paris.
After the honeymoon and his concert in Oslo Adnan sami Khan took a very interesting step by approaching the Delhi high court to seek a clearance to purchase property in the capital. Indian Law prohibits Pakistanis and people from several other nationalities from buying immovable property in India without taking permission. Adnan's case is based on the argument that he has been living in India for a very long time now, he even sang the World Cup cricket song for the Indian team and he is a respectable professional artist. This is a very interesting development and it is yet to be seen what the outcome will be….whether Khan will be able to make history or not! A few days after this case was filed The Oshiwara police sent singer Adnan Sami’s voice sample to the Kalina Forensic Science Laboratory for examination regarding a case filed by his ex wife against him. It seems like there are more tough times ahead for Adnan Sami Khan.
